5 Boring Observations #55
Dear Reader,
It’s (still) Wednesday (on the West Coast). Welcome to the fifty-fifth edition of 5 Boring Observations.
First, an announcement:
After a long and delightfully dull run, 5 Boring Observations will be winding down operations. The upcoming fifty-seventh edition will be its last. I’ve enjoyed making note of some of the more mundane aspects of life for these past (almost) two years and hope you’ve enjoyed reading and voting on them. For a while now though, I’ve had the itch to try something a little new, and so — life being what it is1 — I figured I’d better go ahead and scratch that itch.
That something new is the newsletter project that will succeed this one, titled Progress Report. With Progress Report, I hope to create something of an ongoing public record of ideas in development; an archive of comic investigation. I hope you’ll check it out when the time to check it out comes, which will be relatively soon.
For now, let’s return to the business at hand.
The votes from the previous edition’s poll have long since been in. The observation determined to be most boring was:
“Words get repeated.”
And what a relief that is. If I had to come up with a new word for “door” every time I wanted to refer to a door because I lived in a world where I could not repeat words, I think I would experience great frustration. So again… what a relief that is, that words get repeated.
A thank you to all who voted and shared thoughts in the comments.
Without further ado, here are this week’s 5 boring observations:
Houses can be destinations.
Authors tends to have written.
Some people have the option.
It’s today right now.
The world is looked to.
The poll will be active for one week, if you need some time to think. Other than that, there’s one boring photo below.
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Ikechukwu Ufomadu
One Boring Photo:
Lived once.
