5 Boring Observations #54
Dear Reader,
It’s Wednesday. Welcome to the fifty-fourth edition of 5 Boring Observations.
The previous edition’s poll has — rightfully — closed. The observation to emerge as most boring (and by a wide margin) was:
“Cabbage can be found.”
And what an ability that is. Not everything in life can be found. Some things are downright elusive. But not cabbage. Not yet.
A thank you to all who voted and shared thoughts in the comments.
Without further ado, here are this week’s 5 boring observations:
You can make a beat with a drum.
There’s water that’s drinkable.
Sources of light are often bulbed.
Bats play a key role in baseball.
Words get repeated.
The poll will be active for one week, if you need some time to think. Other than that, there’s some housekeeping below, followed by one boring photo.
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Ikechukwu Ufomadu

Oh, and another thing: I got invited to cover a couple of days of the New York Times’ Wordplay column this week. As a humble devotee of their daily crossword, it was a real treat. You can check out those entries here and here.

There's a face in that photo. Is it a boring face?
