5 Boring Observations #52
Dear Reader,
It’s Wednesday. Welcome to the fifty-second edition of 5 Boring Observations — and, seeing as how this newsletter stumbled away from its usual weekly cadence over the winter, let me also thank you for your patience.
Of note: there are fifty-two weeks in a calendar year. That means this fifty-second edition of the newsletter marks a year’s worth of boring observations. My thanks to all of you who’ve taken a bit of time each week to observe, comment and vote on the more mundane aspects of existence.
The poll from the previous newsletter has long been closed. The observation to emerge as most boring was:
“Now is happening right now.”
Far be it from me to point out something interesting… but I can’t help but comment that although this observation was made several weeks ago, now is still happening right now. Wow, now. Just… wow.
A thank you to all who voted and shared thoughts in the comments.
Without further ado, here are this week’s 5 boring observations:
The sky takes on various hues.
Cheers was a comedy of situations.
Not everybody eats pepperoni daily.
The sun provides some things.
Spring has sprung a lot of times.
The poll will be active for one week, if you need some time to think. Other than that, there’s some housekeeping below, followed by one boring photo.
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Ikechukwu Ufomadu
Some Housekeeping:
That’s curtains on Tartuffe — and what a delicious production it was. Fun crowds, some kind words in the press — what more could one ask for? Thank you to all who came to see the show and/or sent a friend our way.
Now it’s time to get back to performing words I’ve written myself, which I’ll be doing on the following occasions:
Thursday, February 5th at 7pm - Uptown Showdown at Symphony Space
Wednesday, February 25th at 7pm - History Tonight w/ Jenny Zigrino at Caveat
