5 Boring Observations #49
Dear Reader,
It’s Wednesday. Welcome to the forty-ninth edition of 5 Boring Observations — and my apologies for sending it out one week late.
Here’s the thing about the previous edition’s poll: it’s just about as closed as it will ever be. The observation found by the readership to be most boring was:
“Different amounts can add up.”
I think what makes this observation especially boring is that this is a phenomenon we see all the time. Don’t believe me? The next time you go to the store to purchase multiple items, see what the prices of each item do at the check-out.
A thank you to all who voted and shared thoughts in the comments.
Without further ado, here are this week’s 5 boring observations:
A lot of people get named.
The word for that is “that”.
Circles are considered shapes.
“Show” is one form of business.
Dancing gets you moving.
The poll will be active for one week, if you need some time to think. Other than that, there’s some housekeeping below, followed by one boring photo.
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Ikechukwu Ufomadu
Some Housekeeping:
First — a hearty thank you to all who attended and/or spread the word about the special taping of Amusements earlier this month. It was a real Wednesday night for the books.
Second — I’ll be working out some new material on these upcoming shows:
Sunday, October 26th at 8pm - Noah Britton’s Birthday at Union Hall
Monday, October 27th at 7:30pm - Dog and Pony at Union Hall
Third — I’ve started rehearsals for Tartuffe which will play at New York Theatre Workshop later this winter and into the new year. Tickets and more info on that are right here.

"The word for that is “that”" is tautological and therefore inherently interesting. See you in court.
