Dear Reader,
It’s Wednesday. Welcome to the sixteenth edition of 5 Boring Observations.
Last week’s votes are - in a word - “in”. The observation voted “most boring” was:
“Soup is at a temperature.”
What temperature, you ask? None can say. I guess something that’s boring can also be… mysterious.
Thank you to all who voted and shared thoughts in the comments.
Without further ado, here are this week’s 5 boring observations:
One precedes other numbers.
Relatives are related.
Shirts are sized.
Motors run or don’t.
Apples can be fruits.
The poll will stay active for one week, should you need more time to think. Other than that, there’s some housekeeping below, followed by one boring photo.
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Ikechukwu Ufomadu
Some Housekeeping:
Thanks to all who joined and/or spread the word about the shows in Philadelphia last weekend. The (sold out) shows were a delight I won’t soon forget1. Special thanks to Dan Winikur and his new outfit Shtick for producing.
Stay tuned2 for future dates!
One Boring Photo:
Even now, I still haven’t forgotten.
I suppose the saying “stay tuned” is more of a metaphor now. The age of turning physical dials on radios and televisions is but a memory.
i actually think "relatives are related" has a lot that can be read into
Sir: "Apples can be fruits" is a wildly inappropriate entry. The verb construction "can be" raises the possibility that some apples might not be fruits — a possibility that is far from boring, and which indeed threatens to intrigue me for some time.
